Indigenous Early Years Scholarships and Bursaries
The New Relationship Trust Foundation (NRT Foundation) is pleased to announce the launch of a new $1 million Indigenous Early Years Scholarship and Bursary program. This initiative is made possible with the support of the Provincial Office for the Early Years. The Indigenous Early Years Scholarship and Bursary Program will add to the NRT Foundation’s 1,719 students funded to date, by ensuring that more than 200 additional Indigenous students living in BC will be able to access post-secondary funding. The NRT Foundation is offering to offer scholarships to Indigenous students who currently reside in British Columbia and are enrolled in Early Years related programs.
Indigenous: First Nations, First People, Metis and Inuit people of Canada.
Those who identify as Indigenous persons and are residents of British Columbia are eligible for the Indigenous Early Years Scholarship Program in areas of study that align with early years’ professions including early childhood education, early intervention therapies and supports, and other para-professions.
The Indigenous Early Years Scholarship application for Undergraduate, Masters and Doctorate candidates are available as of April 18, 2017 .
The Indigenous Early Years Bursary application for Diploma, Associate’s Degree, and Certificate candidates will be available on May 16, 2017. Eligible program categories in the early years field include:
• Early Childhood Education
• Early Intervention Therapies and Supports
• Other para-professions.
