The Early Childhood Education program in the UBC Faculty of Education is looking for a sessional lecturer to teach ECED 420 – History of Early Childhood Education online for W1 2020 (September – December 2020).
Duties will include teaching (including ongoing communication with students through discussion boards and weekly assignments), marking course assignments, and reporting grades.
Applicants must have a minimum of a recognized master’s degree, with relevant school-based experience and academic expertise in course areas as required. Post-candidacy PhD students are encouraged to apply. Experience teaching in an online environment is preferred.

This position is subject to final budgetary approval and is governed by Part 7 of UBC’s “Collective Agreement on Conditions of Appointments for Sessional Faculty Members”. If the successful candidate is not eligible for a sessional appointment, they will be offered a term appointment at an appropriate rank in accordance with Policy #42, in which case the appointment will be governed by Policy #42. The remuneration for the assignment will be paid according to the Faculty of Education sessional pay scale (http://www.hr.ubc.ca/faculty-relations/compensation/minimum-salaries-sessional-lecturers/#30).
