Master of Arts (MA) – On campus
I am currently a first-year master’s student, with my journey in Early Childhood Education (ECE) beginning in 2016 after graduating from high school in China. Following a year of studying the Te Whāriki curriculum in New Zealand, I moved to Halifax, Canada, in 2017 to further advance my professional goals in this field. After obtaining my degree in 2021, I gained valuable experience by working in a daycare setting and engaging with children for three years. I recently moved to Vancouver, and my experience at UBC has been incredible. I am grateful to be part of this program and look forward to exploring it.
One of the key reasons I chose to pursue further education in ECE is the realization that the more I learned and spent time with children, the more I discovered how much there is still to understand. This sparked a deep curiosity in me to explore the field further. I believe ECE is a long, rewarding pathway for continuous learning and growth, and I am eager to continue this journey.
