Alethea Smith

Adjunct Lecturer

Alethea (Ally) Smith is a member of Samahquam First Nation. Her maternal Grandma was a member of Samahquam First Nation and her maternal Grandpa was a member of Squiala First Nation. Her paternal Grandma was from Québec and her paternal Grandpa was from Denmark.

Ally holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with extended minors in French & English and a minor in Learning Disabilities, a Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education as well as a Master of Education in Indigenous Education. In addition to working as an adjunct professor, she has been a classroom teacher for 25 years, during which she has taught K-7 and served as a Support Teacher.
