Master of Education (MEd) – Online Cohort

I grew up in the small hamlet of Millarville, Alberta and now live in Calgary. I acknowledge that I live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
I am in the final year of the online Masters program. This is my 9th year teaching at my current school, Prairie Waters Elementary. Our school is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, implementing the Primary Years Programme and am I our schools PYP Curriculum Coordinator, as well as teach kindergarten in the mornings. Kindergarten is my happy place – I love working with and learning from our youngest students!
In my free time I love to read, teach group fitness classes, and cook!
Upon graduation from UBC in the spring, I hope to pursue a learning specialist role within my school division, working specifically with preschool and kindergarten students and families. I am also interested in perusing an administrative role, such as an assistant principal, within our school division.
