Adjunct Lecturer
Jane holds an MA in Early Childhood Education from UBC, a BA from the University of Guelph, and a B.C. Early Childhood Educator Certificate to practice.
While Jane’s interests span across many threads and levels of ECE practice, her underlying motivations remain consistent: first, to ensure children have choices to express themselves in modalities that are meaningful for them, with their perspectives acknowledged, respected, and valued; secondly, to provide children with ample time and opportunities to build positive, reciprocal relationships and connections with and within the natural world.
Passionate about her profession, Jane finds working directly with children to be a constant source of awe and wonder. Working with Early Childhood Educators and future Educators is inspiring for her as they collaboratively share and discover new perspectives and creative paths forward in this field.
Outside of work, Jane is either out in the world having fun with her favorite people in their forests, oceans, beaches, and gardens or cuddled up on the couch watching movies with them.
