Michaelyn Hoven

Michaelyn Hoven brings over 25 years of experience in teaching early primary, primarily kindergarten, within the Surrey School District.

In 2012, Michaelyn achieved her MA in Early Childhood Education from UBC, with her thesis focusing on the relationship between parent self-efficacy and perceived social support. At home, she shares her life with her husband and three cherished cats, while her three children pursue post-secondary programs across various locations in Canada.

Michaelyn enjoys gardening both outside and inside and has amassed a good number of house plants that she keeps spread between home and school. She enjoys introducing young children to the gardening experience and building strong relationships with the families of her students.
