Master of Education (MEd) – Online Cohort
This is my first post-graduate experience, and it has been wonderful so far! I’m inspired by my cohort, and my favorite part is engaging with everyone’s insights during discussions.
I was born and raised in China. In 2016, I immigrated to Canada with my husband, and we now live in Vancouver with our 5-year-old daughter. I have six years of elementary teaching experience in China, and relocating to Canada marked a new chapter in my educational journey. To adapt to the North American culture, I pursued further studies in Early Childhood Care and Education at Capilano University. After graduation, I started my professional career in Canada as an Early Childhood Educator, continuing my passion for supporting young learners.
Two years ago, I transitioned into a leadership role as an Assistant Manager, overseeing the management of children’s educational programs from a broader, macro perspective. This experience sparked a vital realization: we, as educators, embody the curriculum. It is essential for us to continuously evolve, enhance our skills, and expand our ability to foster the holistic growth and development of children. This understanding has inspired me to pursue further graduate studies in ECE.
