Master of Education (MEd) – Online Cohort
Rebecca Martin-Warr lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia (K’jipuktuk, situated in Mi’kma’ki, the traditional and unceded land of the Mi’kmaq people). She is part of the MEd online program and has been enjoying getting to know the online cohort and exploring ideas and expanding perspectives through deep discussion. Rebecca has a BFA in visual art and certificate of ECE. After working as an ECE in classrooms for 7 years, Rebecca now works in an art gallery, and teaches courses at the Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education. Through the MEd program, she hopes to bring more depth and inspiring concepts to the courses she teaches, as well as deepening her own understanding of what elements form quality early learning programs and research. Her coursework is guided by the belief that our understanding of the world around us is formed through sharing our unique perspectives with each other. Creativity and a passion for art shine through Rebecca’s work in post-secondary education, as she encourages everyone to find their own way of being creative and having an open mind into their work, as well as her personal life in many hobbies from painting to fibre arts. She enjoys getting outside as often as possible on the water or a hiking trail.
