Master of Education (MEd) – Online Cohort
Hello! My name is Su Bertolo Raby, and I am a Master of Education student in the 2025 Online Cohort. I live in Brockville, Ontario, which I acknowledge with gratitude, is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples.
I have worked in Early Childhood for over 25 years, having sought experience in many facets of the field. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Specialization in Drama in Education) from Concordia University and an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Algonquin College, I have worked in Montreal, Ottawa, Yellowknife, Leeds and Grenville, Thunder Bay and Fort McMurray.
I have taught in childcare centres, worked in family resource centres, and learned from and provided support to Indigenous and Inuit families as an Infant Child Development Worker, Early Intervention Educator, and HeadStart Coordinator. As well, I was the co-founder of a children’s theatre troupe that toured the Montreal area and Eastern Ontario.
Presently I teach in the Early Childhood Education Department at St Lawrence College and am also a Resource Consultant with the EarlyON Child and Family Centre, Leeds and Grenville, both since 2010. I have also taught Early Childhood Education students at Algonquin College, Confederation College, and Keyano College.
I sought to extend my education as I am a firm believer of continuous learning and accountability of expertise. I want to be current and knowledgeable with my students and families. I look forward to the expanse of experience and insight from my fellow cohorts in this educational journey.
On a personal note, I am the mother of 3 grown children and have entered the amazing, privileged world of grandparenting! I love backcountry camping, reading and am a self-identified Harry Potter Megafan.
