Master of Education (MEd) – Online Cohort
I am a Supported Child Development Consultant working in the Quw’utsun Valley on the traditional ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish People. I am the mother of two girls, ages 9 and 11, and the wife of a chef. I graduated from The University of Guelph in 2010 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Child, Youth and Family Studies. I have worked at many daycares as an ECE and as a support worker in early intervention throughout my career before settling into my current job as a SCD consultant. Now that I am nearing the end of the MEd program, I have found that I have grown in countless ways as an educator. I have developed interests in alternative narratives to mainstream education and developmentalist discourse and found more strength in myself as a leader. I know that I will continue to emerge as a deep thinker because I have grown to appreciate the experience of ever-changing perspectives.
